IOT
Connected Platform
for Smart Containers

THE intent of this project is to create a dashboard where real-time monitoring and predictive analysis of containers can be done, just by using the weight of the contents. By attaching a sensor device to the container, information is then sent to Kaa through a Raspberry Pi and is displayed via the dashboard. With this solution, users can study the stock levels and analyse them to do predictive analysis, such as monitoring stock levels for better planning, determining different stock levels to replenish stocks and determining the appropriate time for replenishment.

An overview of near real time monitoring reporting of containers that provide weight information. The user has to click the “Refresh - WT” button to view the latest weight information of each container. This page shows the number of container(s) available and the latest weight data of each container.

The number of container means that the number of container we are monitoring, which is also represented as the different number of lineseries in the chart shown in the dashboard. The number of containers are automated depending on the number of containers we are monitoring. Operators do not need to manually update the number of available containers.

Weight (WT) is one of the most important variables in determining the quantity of the items. Thus, we will want the operators to know what is the current weight value when monitoring the different containers as shown in the dashboard.

They will also be able to derive useful information by knowing the current quantity of the items. Our team will be able to see the current quantity of the containers we are monitoring if they are still at an optimal amount.
